So, you’ve signed up for a sprint triathlon – way to go! You’re rocking your training. But what about race morning … what should you bring? Below is your comprehensive packing list for race day, so you can show up with confidence – and with everything you’ll need for an amazing morning on and off course.

SPRINT TRIATHLON PACKING LIST
SWIM
- Tri suit or swim gear (worn to start)
- Goggles (+ a spare pair, just in case)
- Swim camp (provided in your athlete race packet)
- Anti-chafe (Body Glide, Tri Slide, or your favorite)
- Wetsuit or swim skin (if applicable for race conditions)
Note: the BABES Tri is not wetsuit legal - Towel or small mat to lay out your gear in transition
BIKE
- Bike
- Helmet (required)
- Sunglasses (for protection from sun and bugs)
- Cycling shoes (clip-in or sneakers – whatever’s your jam)
- Socks (optional)
- Water bottles (filled and mounted on your bike)
Note: you are permitted to use a Camelbak style hydration pack if that better suits you - Bike nutrition (gels, bars, chews – whatever fuels you)
- Flat kit (spare tube, tire levels, CO2 cartridges or sealant)
RUN
- Running shoes
- Hat/visor
- Race belt with bib attached (both provided in athlete packet)
- Run nutrition/hydration
EXTRAS
- Transition bag or backpack to carry everything
You must pass this off to your support crew or put it back in your car once you’re set up – can’t stay in transition during the race. - Race confirmation email + ID (just in case)
- Timing chip (provided at packet pickup – can safety pin for extra security)
- Sunscreen
- Towel or baby wipes
- Flip flops/post-race shoes
- Dry clothes
- Favorite snacks or recovery drink
